Jogging
Whether you enjoy jogging, walking or would just like some fresh air, you can do so along the sea front (Dublin Bay), which is at the end of Castle Avenue.
Close to the hotel is ‘Bull Island’ where you can jog along 1 mile of sandy beach.

Gym
Clontarf Castle has a small gymnasium onsite but if you would like to swim in the only Olympic size swimming pool in Ireland or climb Ireland’s newest and tallest indoor Rock Climbing Wall, try Westwood Gym.

Rugby & Cricket

Clontarf Rugby & Cricket Club is a 2 minute walk from Clontarf Castle. Founded in 1876, Clontarf is one of the oldest Rugby Clubs in Ireland. Having played firstly in a field at the bottom of Vernon Avenue, then on a site currently used by Dublin Bus as a Depot, the club moved to its present location and celebrated 100 years at Castle Avenue in 1976.
The Club has been moderately successful in the number of trophies won – a total of 21 Leinster Branch Pennants hang in the Pavilion – of these 4 were won by the 1st XV, the latest being the Leinster Senior Cup in 1999.Clontarf Rugby & Cricket Club is Ireland’s national cricket grounds. All international matches are played here.
Clontarf Castle Hotel is also very near to Croke Park Stadium, home of Gaelic Games and Headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). With a prime location Croke Park is steeped in history and has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for many years! Also home to many spectacular musical performances which include, U2, The Police and Robbie Williams to name but a few. History was made in 2007 when Croke Park Stadium hosted international rugby and soccer fixtures from the RBS 6 Nations campaign and the Euro 2008 Qualifying campaign.
