Knights Bar truly is the jewel in the crown of this extraordinary 12th century castle, a beautiful room with its polished wooden floors, open fireplaces & ornate pitched ceiling, it is a magical place that holds a very special place in the hearts of the local Clontarf community, as well as providing a unique traditional Irish Castle pub experience for our international guests.
Knights has in recent years become a Stallworth of the Dublin Gastopub scene, delivering exceptional dishes created by Executive Head Chef, Stuart Heeney, using only the very best of local produce, of which there is no shortage thanks to the hotels envious location with 10 minutes of Dublin city yet only a stone’s throw from the beautiful north Dublin coastline and Howth the home of Dublin fresh fish and seafood. Firm favourites include the delicious 12 Hour Slow Cooked Pulled Pork Shoulder and Black Tiger Prawns sautéed in McGrath’s Irish Pale Ale Chilli & Garlic.
Craft beer is also a speciality, with an extensive craft menu featuring many Irish Artisan Craft Beer products, researched and carefully selected by Bar Manager; Cormac Rose and his team, and cleverly paired with the fantastic food offering to ensure an experience that will both surprise and delight.
It is however the warm, caring and familiar service delivery by a dedicated team that boasts amongst its ranks many team members who have been with the Castle for years, guaranteeing all that frequent a wonderful genuine experience.
